On my way from Fla. to Md. when alternator light came on outside of Mechanicsville. Our local relative directed us to their regular mechanic, Dixon’s and they agreed to check out the van. They took us immediately. One mechanic removed the old part while another drove to pick up the new alternator. Total time start to finish was only about 3 hours. Can’t say enough about the service. Our relatives are lucky to have them so close. Thank you Dixon’s for for taking care my wife and me.

We have been using Dixons for many years and always get 5 star service. I love that the service writers work aa a team so your call or questions are always answered and they dont seem commissions driven. It’s nice that you can reserve a loaner vehicle if you plan in advance and if you need your car towed they have a tow truck at their other shop that will tow your vehicle. I recently purchased new tires and had my state inspection done at this shop, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain my options without any pressure. The pricing was fair, the work was done efficiently, and everything was completed when promised. Had a 40K mile service on my Mazda CX-5. Dropped off at 9:30am and was ready for pickup at 3:00pm. Upon my drop-off they had a loaner car ready for me. They did an oil change, rotated tires, changed two filters, changed wiper blades and gave everything else a clean bill of health all for $191. They honored my coupons and accumulated reward points. After three years of service, I can recommend them for their convenient, courteous, reliable, efficient and cost-effective service.

Everyone there was very nice and helpful. They took the time to show me what was going on with my car and explained everything. They got me in quickly also. First time in a long while I felt comfortable with being in a mechanic shop.

I had an excellent experience at Dixon’s Automotive. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and very transparent about the repairs my vehicle needed. I wanted to take a minute and sing Dixon Automotive Repair in Ashland, VA some praise. I have searched for an honest “local” mechanic since I’ve moved here in 2008. I have tried well over a dozen different mechanics and by far Dixon’s has gone above and beyond my expectations. If I could encourage others to try them I’m positive you will be happy.
